How good are the Adelaide Hills for a wedding? Soooo Good, that’s how good!

With their close proximity to Adelaide, spectacular views and all the amazing food and wine… the Adelaide Hills ticks all the boxes for a wedding. But how do you choose a wedding venue in the Adelaide Hills??? Well here’s a short list with a few of my faves…

Howard Vineyard Wedding

I love shooting at Howard Vineyard for a bunch of reasons, including the super chilled but highly professional staff, sublime food and wine, the rustic feel of the place and the photogenic nature of the whole venue. They’ve done such a fantastic job with the gardens/grounds there, it just gets better and better each year. With a Howard Vineyard Wedding, you’ve got vines, open fields, dirt roads, rustic walls, banks of trees… it’s all there. They’ve got two options for your ceremony, and a beautiful garden setting for drinks afterwards with shade in the summer! Howard Vineyard seems to attract very relaxed couples who don’t sweat the small stuff. Maybe that’s why I love it so much…

Mandalay House and Garden Wedding

Bridal party in Black tie and black bridesmaid dresses with unstructured flowers laughing, enjoying a moment at the wedding in Mandalay house and garden in the adelaide hills Bride wearing off the shoulder wedding dress and groom in black tuxedo walking away from their marquee reception down steps to get sunset photos at their wedding at Mandalay House and Garden in the Adelaide Hills

Mandalay House… well this place is next level. Australiana landscape meets manicured gardens… it’s ridiculous. Luxurious and stylish, the stone house is great for bridal prep and tucked away amongst the established gardens which have plenty of shade and work so well for wedding photography. There’s a seamless flow to a Mandalay House Wedding, with the ceremony leading on to a garden party with drinks and canapes, then the marquee reception. All this taking place in three interconnected but different sections of the magical garden setting, surrounded by rolling countryside which is perfect for escaping the party momentarily for last light photos…
